Always get the escargot..
Paris’ gastronomic scene is one that I never got old of. I could have spent another few months eating my way through the neighborhoods, but these are my favorites of those that I was able to try.
- Au Bourguignon du Marais is a spot close to Notre Dame and it has some incredible beef Bourguignon. The staff was great, but definitely a place where you will need a recommendation.
- 54 R4UE Francois Miron, 75004
- 10 Minute walk to Notre Dame
- Flottes is in the Opera district, right across the street from the Tuileries. We had 10 people and were able to get a private room upstairs. The scallops were unreal and I highly suggest the sardines as an app. I also highly recommend the Profiteroles pretty much at any restaurant!
- 2 Rue Cambon, 75001
- Short walk to designer stores in the Vendome square (these are much less crowded than the ones on Champs-Elysees)
- Vauderville is a great option when you’re getting a little tired of all the heavy French meats. The fish selection here is great and they have beautiful white wines to pair. For dessert, the chocolate mousse souffle was decadent.
- 29 rue Vivienne 75002
- Chez Pierrot is another great cozy spot that is only a 15 minute walk to the Louvre and close to the Sentier district which is lively with plenty of little restaurants and bars. There are s different options of meat here that will not disappoint.
- 18 Rue Étienne Marcel, 75002
- 15 minute walk to Louvre and close to Sentier
